In the first auditions she was the girl
that reduced our Pete to tears
excited by this prospect
the best he'd heard for years.

She had a voice distinctive
not suited to every song
but when she sang "Everything I Do"
this girl could do no wrong.

Each week went by and on the couch
Rosie would find herself
struggling with every task they set
it was bad for poor Pete's health.

"The Winner Takes it All"
but no winner she would be
as she tried her hand at Abba
rather unsuccessfully

But Pete promised his favourite girl stardom
her talent would not go to waste
